I had the great honor of participating in the 4-H Candidates Forum last night. The event was held at the Pitt County Agricultural Center, and allowed young people the opportunity to ask questions to the candidates in attendance. I appreciated the opportunity to present my platform of fairness and community safety to the members of the audience who were present.
The questions presented dealt with topics that are particularly concerning to the youth of today — bullying, drug abuse, gun control, the minimum wage, and teen apathy were some of the many issues presented to the candidates by the students.
It was great to see some old friends, and it was also very exciting to meet so many of our future leaders as they participated in this event. A special thank you to all who organized such a unique and insightful forum.
